Materials
Hand-rolled recycled paper beads with brass spacer beads.
Description
Each bead in the Jua Necklace begins as scrap paper -cut into strips, hand-rolled tight around a needle, then sealed and
finished by artisans in Kariobangi, Nairobi. No two beads carry quite the same pattern of color and stripe, since each is
rolled from whatever paper came through that day, making every necklace a genuinely one-of-a-kind composition of
terracotta, cream, olive, and charcoal tones. Small brass spacers punctuate the beads, adding warmth and a bit of shine
against the matte paper finish.
Layer it solo for everyday texture or stack it with finer gold chains for a mixed-material look.
Available in two lengths -exact circumference measurements not yet confirmed for either.
Caring for Your Necklace
• Avoid water, perfume, and lotion contact where possible.
• Store flat or hanging, away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading.
• Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth if needed - never submerge or scrub.
